Honouring the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation, First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples Ottawa is built on un-ceded Anishinabe Algonquin territory.

The City of Ottawa honours all First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and their valuable past and present contributions to this land.

Ward 22 includes the two communities of Riverside South and Findlay Creek. The community is home to many parks, the Rideau River and the Findlay Creek Boardwalk.

Both Riverside South and Findlay Creek are growing communities. Approximately, 36, 066 residents call the area home. In the next 4 years, the population is estimated to grow by about 8,000 residents.

Riverside South Secondary Plan

The Riverside South Secondary Plan guides development in the area over a 25-year period. It allocates land for the new Riverside South Recreation Complex, employment, schools and residential uses.

Findlay Creek/Leitrim CDP

The Leitrim Community Design Plan encompasses an area of just over 500 hectares. The growing community is home to the Leitrim Wetlands, a retail plaza, Fred Barrett Arena and Vimy Ridge Public School. The area will continue to grow with the urban boundary expansion.
